Controlling our hormones
Good stress management and improving your sleep quality can reduce cortisol levels in the blood and better regulate insulin secretion. Good stress management means exercising, being social (hanging out with friends), eliminating negative thoughts and training our minds to live in the now, not yesterday or tomorrow. Improving sleep quality means: having a light meal for dinner as early as possible, e.g. by 6:00 pm. Avoid taking alcohol and take a long walk before going to bed. The walk is not recommended so much to tire ourselves out but more to clear our heads of all the thoughts of the day. Also read a few pages from a pleasant book. By lowering cortisol levels we lower sugar, as a result of this we have a decrease in insulin and especially insulin resistance. All this will help in the easier process of losing weight and in feeling better during the day.
