On the occasion of the high temperatures we have these days we would like to inform you what happens to your body if you do not drink enough water. Our body loses about 2.5 liters of water a day through the skin, urination and breathing. With sweat we can lose up to 0.5 liters per hour. So if the lack of water in our body is around half a liter, we feel thirsty and lack concentration. At two liters we have headaches and severe fatigue. Above 3 liters our heart starts to beat faster and we have changes in our pressure. Over a lack of 4 liters we have a fever, our body does not manage to reduce our temperature through sweat. Over ten liters our lives are at risk. So, in very high temperatures, we try to get fluids up to three liters.
