The body is only in one of two states: the “feeding” or “receiving” state and the “fasting” state, when we have not eaten. In the feeding state, insulin levels are high and the body stores the energy of food as sugar or fat. In the fasting state, when insulin levels are low, the body burns the stored energy of the food. So we either store calories or burn calories, but not both at the same time. So therefore for a good weight balance we need to have both conditions coexist in our body. Taking food all the time does not benefit our body.
